Canon 1473 / 1472 print head error fix

Had to replace the color print head on my Canon G3202. Bought a print head on ebay but after installing I kept getting error messages.

Looked on youtube for solutions but all I saw was people cleaning the print head with alcohol to make it work. I tried it several times but kept getting the same errors (And the light blinking 14 times)

What worked for me was putting the old print head in, starting a print and opening the cover while printing (just make sure the print heads are accessible)

Then I swapped with the new print head and it worked fine …

(Still haven’t turned the printer off and on to see if the error doesn’t come back)
